Yesterday Caro Emerald opened the exposition Fabulous Fifties Fabulous Fashion in the Gemeentemuseum in The Hague. I was one of the lucky few who won guestlist places for this opening. Caro contacted the museum when she found out they were doing an exposition about fifties fashion. She and her team get their inspiration from the fifties and Caro felt like one particular - not yet published, never before played - song had to be played at the opening of this exposition. So she did!
The name of the song is Paris and it's inspired by the life of Parisian 50s fashion designer Madame Grès. On the new not yet finished album fashion will be a big theme. If this song resembles what we can expect on the next album, it is going to be a great one. But it undoubtedly will be!
After Caro's performance we got to see the exposition. There was a camera crew following Caro and interviewing her about the pieces in the exposition. I will show you a little sneak peak preview below!
After visiting the exposition I was able to have a little chat with Caro about her new song, the nice tiara-ish thing in her hair, my jumpsuit, earrings and Guardian Angel, her performance in the Royal Albert Hall in march and how my mother actually discovered Caro before me. Haha, quite the conversation! She's ever so sweet making time for me! Gotta love this woman!
|Umm yeah, excuse my face in this one. Guess I was laughing about something here.|
So, all in all I had a great day yesterday! After having some beers in the Grand Cafe of the museum with my mother I went back to Haarlem and there went out with my boyfriend and two acquaintances of his and had some beers again, haha!
P.S. I seriously need to buy a better camera! But they're so expensive!
