Outfits + Diary | Eurotrip part I: Berlin

Hi there sweets!

EN: Beware, I'm back and all set and ready to spam your Blogger and Bloglovin' timelines with outfits and other photos from my Eurotrip! First of all, this holiday teached me a few things: 1) My German is horrible. I know a lot of words, but I somehow black out as soon as someone starts speaking German to me. 2) Looking out of a train window while listening to Caro Emerald is something I can do for hours and hours. 3) Timo has the same sort of thing with mountains as I have with Caro Emerald: they just somehow make him really happy. 4) My Italian exists only of the words "Ciao", "Scusa" and "Grazie". 5) Hongarian and Czech are quite incomprehensible languages.

That being said, I decided to make one post per city, because making seperate outfit posts and diary posts would make it take weeks before I'm done spamming you. So, today I'm showing you two outfits from Berlin and all Berlin photos I wanted to share with you! The weather wasn't that great the first two days in Berlin, so the outfits are actually quite applicable for the present weather. On the last day the weather was great and we decided to go swimming!

I'm wearing

Top - Vero Moda via Sans-Online
Faux leather short - Urban Outfitters
Lace coat - Primark
Oxford shoes - H&M
Purse - Thrifted
Earrings - Forever 21
Tights - HEMA

The Berlin wall or "Eastside Gallery" as it's called nowadays, as the entire wall has been painted by artists!

Checkpoint Charlie, the US army checkpoint during the time of the Berlin wall. The two guys dressed up like soldiers looked so goofy with their umbrellas.

And then... we passed by the most awesome chocolate shop we had ever seen! They had the funniest things made from chocolate, like these two Berlin buildings and a bear, the symbol of Berlin.

Berlin is like a huge real life history book of the second world war and the cold war. I'm not sure whether that's a good thing or not, as the city would have been better off without this dark piece of history, but it's also a good way to learn and somehow experience this part of history more. Below you find pictures of the Holocaust monument. It's by far the biggest monument I have ever seen.

And here's my second outfit of Berlin! Shot at the Brandenburger Tor, the old city entrance.

I'm wearing

Knitted turtle neck sweater - H&M
Black jeans - Mango
Oxford shoes - H&M
Lace coat - Primark
Earrings - Forever 21
Purse - Thrifted

And then we went to this square, because it was on our sight seeing list, but once we were there we couldn't figure out why it was. Haha! The financial centre of Berlin, it seemed.

Fortunately, we found ourselves a reason for being at that square as the Berlin Dalí museum was situated here!

Taking photos by night is always hard, but I sort of like how this failed night shot of the Television tower turned out!

Oh hi there, sweet blue sky!

On the second day in Berlin we went shopping (ok, also on the first). In this cute little hidden square we found the most amazing shops selling hand made products.

At Humana Second Hand and Vintage (small one situated on Frankfurter Allee 3 and HUGE one situated on Schönhauser Allee 10) I found the most amazing vintage items for even more amazing prices. I fell in love head over heels with this burgundy sequin top, but unfortunately it was about 6 sizes too big. This one cost only €13. Such a top would cost at least €40 here in Amsterdam!

And there was the great weather! On our last day in Berlin we relaxed at Badeschiff, a man-made city beach including a swimming pool in the river. We had a great time!

The boyfriend started taking photos of me unasked, so I decided to do something goofy with my sunglasses, haha!

And last but not least, we enjoyed a beer in the afternoon sun!

I hope you liked my outfits and photos of Berlin! Stay stuned for outfits and diaries of Prague, Budapest, Venice, Milan and Zürich!
